Charles' head still hurts, he can't recall every having an experience quite like Cerebro before. It was like he could feel the world and each mind but it left him feeling aware of all the spaces between. The way that Erik pushes him away, yet he knows there's want there and he feels foolish.

Almost everyone is asleep and he's sick of the sight of his room, so he gets up and starts walking. He's always found a comfort in sleeping minds as long as he's not in their dreams and that brings him back to Erik, who he can help.

It would be nice to try another night beside him but then what? He doesn't want something light and casual, he wants Erik and Iris.
